DJ Gilles Bernard

I was first introduced to house music back in 1999, partying in Toronto and listening to locals such as Kenny Glasgow, Addy, Paranoid jack, and Deko-ze. To this day, those cats are still going strong and I love it! Back then, the tribal tech sound wasn’t very common. Maybe because everyone and their grandmothers weren’t DJs back then, not that there's anything wrong with that. At the time, it was all vinyl and turntables, but a lot has changed since then. I can say I love and embrace change. CDJ's, midi controllers, and live sets are now the norm. Now I know that some people will always love vinyl/turntables, others will hate-on the midi controllers / sync button. Some people even think pushing a CDJ platter an inch forward or backwards beat matching makes them musically gifted, and maybe they are. For me, none of that matters, it’s all about the music, what’s coming out of the speakers and what makes the crowd move. Whichever way works best to deliver it.
