Concert for Peace: In Support of Ukrainian Refugees and Those Trapped by the Conflict in Ukraine

Being a UNESCO City of Music is about working together and supporting our fellow humanbeings. A sincere thank you to our community partner Aeolian Hall, as they step forward to provided much needed support to the people of Ukraine through a "Concert for Peace". A sincere thank you to the musicians who are contributing their time, skill and art.
This Thursday and Friday, March 24th and 25th, Aeolian Hall will be presenting a benefit concert in support of refugees and others trapped by the war in Ukraine. 100% of the funds raised by this event will be donated to the International Red Cross. This concert will feature performances by musicians and artists and will include a celebration of Ukrainian art and culture, headlined by internationally celebrated musician Loreena McKennitt. Other artists featured include Tony Dekker of The Great Lake Swimmers, Denise Pelley with Stephen Holowitz, Nicole Tan and Bryan Gloyd, Tara Dunphy with Larry Smith, Marty Kolls, Aaron and Aimee Allen, Fraswer Teeple, Marion Miller & Clark Brian, Jennifer Thorpe and Sonja Gustafson, among others.
Tickets can be purchased by donation, which can be made in person or online here. The event will be livestreamed on Friday March 25th starting at 7:00pm as well; more information can be found on their website.

With many worthy international organizations working to support and stabilize the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, the Aeolian has selected the International Red Cross. As an impartial, neutral, and independent organization, the mission of the Red Cross is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and provide them with assistance. Donations will be accepted online as part of the ticketing process at www.aeolianhall.ca/events/ukraine, in-person at the Aeolian Box Office, and by e-Transfer and at the event.
