Through networking at Canadian Music Week, the Nova Scotian influencer caught a number of London artists and selected Mountain of Wolves, Taylor Holden & The Law of Averages and Texas Kings to perform during HPX.
London artists to perform Thursday October 19th at The Carleton.
Mountain of Wolves - 7:00pm
London, Ontario’s newest soul-inspired rock & roll band - endlessly excels at engaging audiences from small-town bars to packed concert halls. Their enormous on-stage personality is mirrored by a similarly large and exhilarating sound. Mountain of Wolves’ sound is reminiscent of living rock & roll legend Jack White, with a healthy dose of 1960s soul and finished with a classic instrumentation one might find listening to The Band or The Doors. “You can only find your limits if you push yourself to the absolute max.” says vocalists/guitarist Richard Gracious. The energy may begin with the frontman, but it certainly doesn’t end there.
Taylor Holden & The Law of Averages - 8:00pm
Taylor Holden and the Law of Averages are a rock n folk band from London, Ontario. Playing it fast & loose with the word folk, they give happy go lucky tunes a nice, sharp edge. Pairing up important stories (drinking milkshakes, eating chicken fingers & losing your keys) with infectious melodies, their tunes’ll stick to your brain like the gum on your shoes.
Texas King - 9:00pm
Texas King formed in 2013 and before long, began earning a reputation for their high-energy rock shows. After tours of Ontario and the east coast of Canada to support a debut EP, October 3rd 2017 sees the release of their anticipated full-length album Circles. Catch Texas King on tour in support of Circles all across Canada this fall.
