Amplify London Transportation Survey

The Urban 360 Lab @ Fanshawe College is working with the City of London and the London Music Office to learn about concert goers ability  to get to and from music events in London. Getting to and from live music events can be a barrier for many. Looking into how Londoners access live music events will help build stronger audience retention and support live music across the city.

Urban 360 Lab at Fanshawe College is a dynamic work-study program led by faculty and designed to connect students with real-world, community-focused initiatives in mapping, urban planning, and design. Through partnerships with various organizations, the Urban 360 Lab empowers students to contribute to meaningful local and regional development projects while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools. Students build practical skills in research, collaboration, and community engagement using advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems), AutoCAD, 3D visualizations, and presentation graphics software.

The purpose of this research  to understand how different ways of getting around—like cars, buses, and bikes—affect whether people can go to shows. We are using map tools to study where events take place and how people can travel to them. This is important because music events should be easy for everyone to enjoy. If it is hard to get to a show, some people may miss out. By learning more about this, we can help make music events more open, fair, and easier to reach for everyone in the city.

Look for posters and Fanshawe College students at events throughout the summer to fill out the feedback form to help us learn more about your travel behaviour as it relates to special events. If you are hosting a music event and would like it to be included in this project, please email the Urban 360 Lab at urban360lab@fanshawec.ca
