Collage: Celebrating 150

This year to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canada 7 choirs from the schools in the Thames Valley School District will each be performing one song by a Canadian composer.

To finish the night off all 7 choirs will be joining together to sing Honeyed Hearts a piece composed just for this event by Medway Alumni, Matthew Emery. Honeyed Hearts will be conducted by Linda Beaupré. Matthew Emery’s music has been performed all over the world and has been named one of the hottest classical musicians under 30 by CBC.

The schools that will be featured in this performance are; Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School, Medway High School, Oakridge Secondary School, College Avenue Secondary School, Sir Wilfrid Laurier Secondary School, London Central Secondary School, and Strathroy District Collegiate Institute.

The concert is happening November 16th at 7pm and will be taking place at Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School right here in London. All proceeds from the show will be going to the United Way.
