As many industries begin recovery, COVID 19 is still keeping most live event organizations & venue doors closed. The live entertainment industry was the first to shut down and will be the last to fully re-open. In an act of national solidarity, the Live Event Community across Canada will unite on Tuesday September 22nd to create A Day of Visibility for the Live Event Community. Businesses and individuals working in the live event industry are encouraged to illuminate their buildings RED on the evening of Tuesday September 22nd. This is an act of togetherness not a political statement. Let’s remember the power of live music and the positive impact it has on our lives.
City of London buildings will be illuminated RED on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, to participate in the Day of Visibility for the Live Event Community. This service includes City Hall, the Fountain at the Forks, and the JA Taylor Building at Wellington and Dundas. To participate alongside other London businesses & individuals:
- Safely light your building or home with red lighting
- Post a picture to social media
- Use the Hashtag #WeBuildEntertainment, #LightUpLive & #LdnOnt
