Evian UNESCO City of Music Project Call Out

Évian (France) UNESCO City of Music has put out a request to all UNESCO Creative Cities for submissions to their project, Correspondences. This project will bring together artwork from children and youth across the world and will be transformed into a new piece by a local artist, to be displayed at the upcoming G7 Summit in Évian, June 15-17, 2026.

The drawing should include:

  • What surrounds children and youth
  • What they want to preserve
  • Their everyday actions to build a better world

Example: daily landscapes and surroundings, actions to protect nature, intergenerational actions, solidarity and mutual assistance, equality and above all, happy people!

Once collected by Evian, the drawings will be translated by artist Aurélie Castex into a new piece that will be displayed at the Buvette Cachat. A parallel exhibition will take place displaying the creative process, from drawings to artwork, and will have messages displayed, along with the artists interpretation of the drawings.

Timeline & Submission:

  • All drawings must be submitted by 12pm on Thursday April 2 by e-mail only to music@london.ca
  • E-mail Subject: Correspondences Project Artwork Submission
    • Email copy must include:
      • Submit a high-res JPEG or PDF
      • Description: 2 – 3 sentences about the theme of the artwork
      • Identity the individual, group or class that has submitted the artwork
      • Primary contact person including name and e-mail. Participants first name will only be used. No personally identifiable information will be shared.

How artwork will be selected

This project is about unity and not reflective of professional artists. Three drawings will be randomly selected to be submitted on behalf of London. This project is open to all residents within the age range of 1 – 25. After the artwork selection has been made, your e-mail will be deleted and not stored. The selected artwork will be displayed in Évian, France, in a collage artwork installation with contributions from other UNESCO Creative Cities during the G7 Meetings in Évian, France.
