Guidance for Restaurant Re-Opening

Earlier this week the Ontario Government announced Stage 2 of the provinces re-opening. This included the re-opening of restaurants with patios. The London-Middlesex Health Unit realeased a COVID19 Guidance For Restaurants Re-Opening document which can be downloaded here.

The document outlines best practices for safely re-opening your business and serving customers. Recorded music is permitted on commerical patios with a proper license. Learn how to obtain a Sound Permit for Patios here or fill this application form out and e-mail to licensing@london.ca

The City of London has introduced a streamlined approach to process new patio applications or a patio expansion on a previous permit . The following must be included

  • Copy of your Business Licence
  • A sketch of the proposed new patio or extension
  • A photo of the location
  • Proof of Insurance

Please e-mail the Back To Business Team at the City of London for further details at b2b@london.ca

Additional guides to consider

Please continue to practice physical distancing whenever possible and follow the London-Middlesex Helath Unit guidelines with an additional focus on sanitization and personal protective equipment.
