With the Forest City Film Fest quickly approaching, the London Music Office is enthusiastic about the upcoming Industry Sessions taking place on Friday October 25th as part of FCFF. Two great component that everyone should seriously look at attending include, 'Scoring Your Film From Start To Finish' panel (12:00 - 1:30pm) and the Sync Summit - Music Sync 101 (2:00 - 4:00pm).
SCORING YOUR FILM FROM START TO FINISH
Master composer, Ryner Stoetzer, breaks down the entire process of scoring a film from inception to delivery with priceless insights from other professionals representing every discipline key to a successful collaboration with producers, directors, editors.
SYNC SUMMIT - MUSIC SYNC 101
As music is a vital part of any screen based content, music sync is one of the fastest growing areas of the music industry. The Music Sync Summit at Forest City Film Fest is geared towards emerging musicians, composers, artist managers, film makers and engineers. Attendees will learn the basics of music synchronization for film, television and gaming. A conversation with Music Supervisors will help everyone understand a sync placement and how one goes about obtaining one. Following an introductory discussion to the world of music sync, we'll explore how to get paid for a placement and the long term benefits that exists with placements and publishing contracts. Atttendees will then break into groups for speed networking sessions where they will meet with speakers.
