Music Talks goes digital with CD Baby & Indie Week's Darryl Hurs
When things change, new opportunities present themselves. While everyone is living safely at home, new opportunities have emerged and artists are now able to explore additional revenue models as a 'new normal' is established. Using this time to properly sort out registration and distribution, now is the time to map out a plan that monetizes your career as we work toward a better normal. Join LMO on Friday April 24th for a discussion with Darryl Hurs and learn how artists can prepare for what's next and set themselves up for success.
Darryl Hurs has a 25+ year history in the music business including launching and running one of Canada’s largest indie music festivals and conference, Indie Week. Recently hired as the director of market development for CD Baby in Canada. Past positions include design and branding/marketing for Live Nation as a freelancer (projects included a corporate rebrand and logo design, launching VIPNATION.com, work for U2, Nickelback, Madonna, Beyonce, Jay-Z and Dave Matthews) retail buyer at HMV, and booker for one of Toronto’s top live music venues (The Rivoli).
