A London UNESCO City of Music Development Program

Sunfest Music Production Mentorship is a new live tech and music production mentorship program for emerging London-based technicians. Selected technicians will have the opportunity to shadow professionals in the field as well as gain one-of-a-kind, hands-on festival experience at Sunfest, London’s largest culturally diverse festival.  

Two virtual mentorship sessions will take place on June 17th and June 24th. An in-person session with CMI on July 2nd will complement on-site training with the PA Shop at Sunfest, July 3-6, at Victoria Park, 580 Clarence St, London. 

Technicians will receive hands-on training on a variety of live tech roles across multiple stages throughout the festival weekend. Technicians will also learn how to build and elevate their live tech business and have access to CMI’s ongoing mentorship following the program. As a global UNESCO City of Music, two technicians from fellow UNESCO City of Music Hannover (Germany), along with four local technicians will lead the training.
