Forest City Film Fest

London Music Office is excited to see the Forest City Film Festival growing in 2017. LMO is supporting the Scoring your Film panel led by London of Business Committee member Ryner Stoetzer. The panel focuses on working with music supervisors, their role, what a license entitles you, and how to work directly with an artist.

The panel is moderated by Ryan Stoetzer, a sound engineer and composer. Ryan Stoetzer has composed and performed music for more than 33 television series including Saturday Night Live, Keeping up with the Kardashians, and Portlandia.

The panel will be host to several brilliant creative minds including:

  • Marvin Dolgay, the founder of tambre productions. Marvin Dolgay is a well known activist for creators rights, and was the president of the Screen Composers Guild of Canada for 7 years.
  • Michael A. Perlmutter, a music supervisor. Michael A. Perlmutter has been working in the Television and Film industry for more than 20 years and has placed thousands of songs in television shows such as A Handmaid's Tale, and Degrassi.
  • Amy Eligh, the director of sync and creative services at Red Brick Songs and Casablanca Media. Amy Eligh pitches songs for television and film, organizes showcases for television networks, arranges co-writing sessions, and creates writing camps.
  • Kyle Merkley, the director of technology and music at Arpix Media. Kyle Merkley has worked on some of the biggest shows in Canada, such as Murdoch Mysteries, Killjoys, and heartland. Kyle Merkley worked with the top 24 contestants on Canadian Idol, and produces music under the name BURGAH.
