LIVE MUSIC ON HOLD

One year ago today (March 17), London had the honour to host the largest gathering of the Canadian Music Industry as the 2019 JUNOS broadcasted live from Budweiser Gardens in downtown London. A year later on March 17 2020, the Government of Ontario enacted strong measures to help flatten the curve and halt the spread of COVID-19. This means that all live music venues will be required to shut down until March 31.  All bars, concert venues and theatres are prohibited from opening to the public until at least March 31. Restaurants are permitted to serve takeout and delivery.

At this time, it is important to understand the impacts COVID-19 cancellations are having on the music and entertainment sector. Please take a couple moments to fill out this survey that has been created by the Canadian Live Music Association to help understand the current financial implications brought on by COVID-19.

In a statement from the Canadian Live Music Association
Dear CLMA members and stakeholders -

In this fast-moving situation surrounding the Covid-19 virus, we are sending out this next important survey to gauge the severity of its impacts on the Canadian music industry as a whole. We know we have been calling on our members often in recent days, to help us understand immediate impacts. We realize it can feel overwhelming, but your information is crucial and is what is helping us to tell the unfolding story of our industry, we can't do it without you.  So thank you once again for taking the time to answer this short survey - your responses are critical to our advocacy effort.

We encourage you to fill out this brief questionnaire to help add the LIVE MUSIC SECTOR's voice to the broader discussion.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS SURVEY TO YOUR STAKEHOLDERS, COLLEAGUES, PARTNERS AND FRIENDS IN THE CANADIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY.

ALL answers will remain confidential, and we will be sharing them in aggregate only with key decision makers in government. The purpose is to give government a quick snapshot of the impacts, and to encourage them to provide immediate and long-term relief to the industry.

Deadline: Thursday, March 19, 12:00 pm. To repeat, we will not be sharing individual answers.

Thank you for your participation.  COMPLETE SURVEY HERE
