After historically high case numbers over repeated days, the risk of overloading the local health system has become too great. The Provincial Government has moved Middlesex-London into the Red (Control) Level, a category that brings stringent regulations to halt the spread of COVID-19 and protect the public. The move will become effective on Monday December 14th. While these measures are important to protect us all, attendance at live music performance is no longer permitted in the Red (Control) Level.
Measures for Restaurants, Bars and Food or Drink Establishments
- Maximum number of patrons permitted to be seated indoors is 10
- Outdoor dining, takeout, drive through and delivery permitted
- Dancing, Singing and the live performance of brass or wind instruments are prohibited
- Limited operating hours, establishments close at 10pm.
- Liquor sold or served only between 9am – 9pm
- No Consumption of liquor between 10pm and 9am
- Require screening of patrons with questionnaire
- Limit of 4 people may be seated together
Measures for Performing Arts Facilities include
- Venues closed to spectators
- Rehearsal or performing a recorded or broadcast event remains permitted
- Singers and players of brass or wind instruments must be separated from any other performers by plexiglass or other impermeable barrier
- Required screening of patrons with questionnaire
General Information About Red Level
- Organized public events & social gatherings are capped at 5 people indoor & 25 outdoor
- Movie theatres/cinemas closed with drive-in screenings allowed
- Gyms, fitness facilities, casions and events spaces capped at 10 people indoors and 25 outdoors
- No sporting matches allowed for team sports, stricly training allowed
- People should only leave their homes for essential reasons, including work, school, grocery shopping, exercise, caregiving or health care
