Support for Live Music Workers

Details have now been announced for a new program adminsited by FACTOR called Support for Live Music Events. The fund has been created to stimulate the live music sector with employement opportunities for Candians including artists, cultural workers, techs and others that make live music possible. This program aids in reducing the financial risk to present safe in person or digital events.

The Support for Workers in Live Arts and Music Sectors Fund is designed to:

  • support the arts and cultural sectors in immediately contracting and employing artists and cultural workers, as part of the federal government’s overall efforts to help Canadians and Canadian businesses weather the effects of the COVID‑19 pandemic
  • provide arts and cultural experiences to Canadians, both live and digital, while restrictions on gatherings and travel continue across the country

Eligible applicants include

  • Artist-entrepreneurs
  • Artist Managers
  • Booking Agents
  • Concert Promoters
  • Music Venues
  • Music Festivals

This is a one time funding grant for the 2021-22 year ending March 1, 2022. Size and scope of funding projects may vary with a maximum eligible request of $100,000.
