The SOCAN Foundation in partnership with TD Bank Group has launched the TD Creative Entrepreneur Incubator Program. This program provides emerging music creators with seed funding, mentorship and the opportunity to participate in a webinar series that will hone their entrepreneurial skills and spirit.

Each participant in the Creative Entrepreneur Incubator will receive:

• $3,000 for start-up costs (marketing, business development, branding, etc.).
• Mentorship by an industry professional.
• Access to a webinar series led by industry professionals and experts.
• A chance to be invited as a participant in the CSHF residency.

The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (CSHF) is also launching an in-person residency in addition with the TD Creative Entrepreneurship Program for select participants in the Entrepreneur Incubator. Five (5) of the incubator participants will be invited to Toronto, Ontario, to take advantage of studio time at the SLAIGHT Studio, a showcase opportunity, and an additional creative mentorship opportunity with an established songwriter, all during a residency in Toronto.

Eligibility:

• Be twenty-nine (29) years of age or younger at the time they submit their applications.
• Demonstrate artistic merit in song-writing through the original works they submitted in their applications.
• Be an unsigned and unpublished artist.
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Demonstrate a dedication to establishing a long-term career in the music industry as a music creator.
• Complete an application in full and submit it via SOCAN Foundation’s Application Portal by the stated deadline. (Incomplete applications will not be considered.)
• Be able to attend all webinar and mentorship sessions, and if invited, the residency in Toronto, Ontario, organized by the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
• Agree to meaningfully participate in and contribute to every component of the program.
• Acknowledge TD and the SOCAN Foundation via social media, if accepted into the program, and to acknowledge the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, if invited into the in-person residency
