Apply to Play London's Biggest Open Mic

In celebration of London’s bicentennial (200th anniversary), the City of London and the London Music Office are profiling local artists by showcasing original songs written in honour of the milestone, London's bicentennial. As part of the Canada Day celebrations in Harris Park, London’s Biggest Open Mic will feature emerging local singer-songwriters performing original music before one of the year’s largest audiences. This special showcase will open the official Canada Day ceremonies, welcoming more than 5,000 attendees.
London’s Biggest Open Mic will showcase original talent nurtured in this UNESCO City of Music, with artists selected based on originality, artistry and representation across genres and communities. Each participant will perform one original bicentennial themed song, bringing their voice, story and sound to a large-scale outdoor stage in a high-energy, community-driven setting.
Songs must be suitable for acoustic performance in a solo or duo format and performed live using acoustic instrumentation only. Spots are limited and subject to submission and adherence to the outlined criteria.
Criteria:
- Artist(s) must reside in London
- Able to perform one original bicentennial themed song (family-friendly)
- Demonstrate high artistic quality
- Available to perform on July 1, 2026
- Must have an up-to-date artist profile on the LMO website; Update or create here
