Artists To Perform at London Majors Games

Londoners have gathered to watch the London Majors since 1925 at iconic Labatt Park, which is the "oldest continually operating baseball grounds in the world", with a history dating back to 1877. Labatt Park has a built-in audience capable of seating 5,200 baseball fans. Starting Sunday May 26th these fans will be treated to regular musical entertainment in partnership with the City of London Music Office, London Arts Council and The London Majors.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy live music performances by Community Arts Investment Program funded musicians who have been vetted through the London Arts Council. Artists performances will welcome fans as they enter the south entrance of the stadium. Following this live performance, London artists will take to the field and sing the National Anthem ahead of the games first pitch. This will serve as a great opportunity for fans to discover emerging London talent as the games announcers spotlight the performer. Follow the London Majors social media channels in the days leading up each home game to learn who will be performing. This cities sports history is equally matched by a deep-rooted musical history. The first performance in this new partnership will feature veteran London musician Frank Ridsdale. Frank is a London, Ontario based singer-songwriter who has been performing for more than 40 years. He first made a splash in the 1970s with Canadian rock outfit Uranus, best known for their 1980 hit “You’re So Square”. Frank has released 3 solo albums to critical acclaim, including his most recent effort, Bread and Roses: A History of Union/Labour Songs, which was chosen as the top album of 2014 by The London Free Press.

Frank will begin performing at 12:00pm on Sunday May 26th. First pitch is at 1:05pm.

For tickets and information about Sunday's game visit the London Majors website. More artist announcements to come.
