A small fish in a big pond…Born and raised a Maritimer, Jim Overboard calls Ontario home these days. Jim’s original music is from the heart with melodic acoustically percussive stories inspired by nature, Canada and the folks he has met on the way. Back in the day he has shared a stage with East Coast biggies like Great Big Sea, Ashley MacIssac and Celtic forces such as The Mahones. A favourite musical memory of Jim’s is when James Best, a childhood TV hero for his role as Rosco Coltraine on the Dukes of Hazzard reached out to share how much he loved a song Jim had written about his character. Jim finds pleasure these days rekindling audiences' associations with favourite songs at the pubs and restaurants in London with his acoustic covers. As a solo artist he thrives on audience connections and is a believer in the power and overall comfort music can bring. Jim is connected with the Irish and Celtic community in London and performs as the frontman of Paddy Murphy’s Ghost.
