Pot Is Drugs is an alternative rock band from London, Ontario, formed in 2021 by four friends who probably should’ve started a podcast but picked up instruments instead. Blending energetic guitars, vulnerable lyrics, infectious melodies, and self-awareness, their sound is loud, honest, and addictive. Whether you’re in the mood to laugh, cry, or just feel something, they’ve probably got a song for that. They pull influence from modern indie icons and garage greats like The Strokes, The Black Keys, Peach Pit, Cage the Elephant, and Basement, shaping a sound that feels familiar while remaining distinctly their own. They call it Southern Ontario awkrock. Their self-titled debut EP, released in 2025, is a snapshot of their genre-fluid approach and unfiltered songwriting, capturing emotional range and explosive live energy. Known for high-energy performances, Pot Is Drugs has opened for Canadian legend Biff Naked and caught the attention of Alan Cross.
