Bydgodska Akademia Jazzu x London Exchange!
- By Anja Kniffen

London is excited to welcome Bydgoska Akademia Jazzu to Canada's UNESCO City of Music!
Hailing from Bydgoszcz, Poland, a fellow UNESCO City of Music, Bydgoska Akamedia Jazzu will take the stage at the closing concert for the London Jazz Festival - April 30 at Highland Country Club alongside the Seth McNall Sextet. The group will be playing a Polish Music Kaleidoscope - a sketch of the Polish musical landscape in jazz arrangements.
Tickets are now sold out but stay tuned to our social channels for highlights. The group will also participate in a workshop at a local secondary school, take part in cultural tours and record at a local studio.
Bydgoska Akademia Jazzu was selected to participate in this exchange after the London Music Office attended the 2024 Bydgoszcz Music Summit and was impressed with the groups talent. Music exchanges are a vital part of a UNESCO City of Music designation. Creating opportunities for cultural exchange provides a critical pathway to strengthen both the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and use music as a tool to strengthen global relations.
