Folk Music Ontario Announces FMO Community Folk Fest!

12 free concerts in the heart of London! Folk Music Ontario (FMO) is pleased to invite the London community to celebrate all things Folk at the FMO Community Folk Fest, a FREE mini festival taking place Thursday, October 12 to Saturday October 14, 2023.

The FMO Community Folk Fest takes place in conjunction with the annual Folk Music Ontario Conference, Canada’s largest gathering of the professional folk music community. The conference will be taking place at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, in London, from October 12-15. The 2023 FMO Community Folk Fest is presented in collaboration with the London Music Office, Tourism London, Fanshawe College, Sunfest London and The Cuckoo’s Nest Folk Club.

“Folk Music Ontario is incredibly excited to present the FMO Community Folk Fest in collaboration with an amazing group of local partners, in the heart of London’s downtown. In the spirit of London being Canada;s only recognized UNESCO City of Music, we encourage you to check out performances by folk artists from around the world, across Canada, and of course, some fantastic homegrown London talent!” Rosalyn Dennett, Executive Director, Folk Music Ontario.

“Hosting the FMO Conference and Community Folk Fest in London with collaborative community partners elevates the event and supports the wider music ecosystem in London. Taking a traditional conference and making it more accessible directly supports a number of UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goals and brings fantastic live music to London’s core.” Cory Crossman, Director, London Music Office.
