Folk Music Ontario: UNESCO City of Music Events

The Folk Music Ontario Conference is just around the corner, taking place from October 13-16 at the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in downtown London! Dedicated to the folk, roots, and traditional music communities, this conference will feature artist showcases, professional development, and networking opportunities for artists and music industry professionals from Canada and around the world.

Over the course of three days, events such as Writers in the Round and UNESCO Spotlight Showcases will be performed at Fanshawe College – School of Digital and Performing Arts, 137 Dundas Street, London, ON, N6A 1E9.

CBC London is delighted to host Writers in the Round, which allows artists to perform and dive into the stories behind their songs. Every day at 12 PM, the following artists will be featured at this event:

The UNESCO Spotlight Showcase brings together artists from UNESCO Cities of Music from around the world, including Norrkoping, Sweden and Hannover, Germany, to perform at Folk Music Ontario. Watch the Market Lane shows beginning at 10 PM to see performances that will take you to new heights:
