Marie Bottrell was born in London On. and began performing at a very young age with her sister and brother in a family band. Marie began writing songs and was signed by the Mercey Brothers to a recording deal in 1978. They released her self -penned composition "Just Reach Out and Touch Me". The positive reaction led to an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry Show on a Canadian tour as the opening act. Marie has been rewarded with RPM's Big Country nomination as Outstanding New Artist, as well as winning Female Vocalist Of The Year 1983 & 1984 at the CCMA Awards and in 2010 Inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame.
