London Shines as NXNE's 2026 Spotlight City

London is thrilled to be named the 'Spotlight City' at the 2026 NXNE Music Festival & Conference in Toronto, June 10-14!

As Canada's UNESCO City of Music, London prioritizes its incredible local talent and values this significant opportunity to put London artists in front of music industry leaders and fans alike. London artists are looking for opportunities to build new audiences and presenting at NXNE elevates these artists. London has a vibrant music scene that hosts prominant music festivals, remarkable live music events and boasts an exciting music community. Tourism London & London Music Office are thrilled to represent London as a music destination at one of Canada's leading music festivals with a showcase at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern on June 13, featuring King Cruff, Thunder Queens, Amanda Movio, Jaghuligin and No Exceptions. London Named NXNE's 2026 Spotlight City, Celebrating Canada's UNESCO City of Music

A dedicated showcase at the iconic Horseshoe Tavern on June 13 will put London's emerging artists on the national stage

TORONTO / LONDON, ON — May 2026 — North by Northeast (NXNE), one of Canada's premier music festivals, has announced London, Ontario as its 2026 Spotlight City -  a program designed to champion Canadian cities that are building vibrant music communities and elevating emerging talent. The announcement marks London as the second city ever to receive this distinction. As a proud Member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and Canada's designated City of Music, London brings a rich musical heritage and a thriving present-day scene to the Spotlight City program. The partnership is led by Tourism London, with co-branding from UNESCO and the London City of Music designation.
