Music Featured at the 2026 Forest City Film Festival
- By Anja Kniffen

The Forest City Film Festival returns to London this October 15–25, celebrating Canadian and international filmmaking alongside the incredible talent and stories coming out of our own region. With more than 140 films, industry events, special guests and live conversations, there’s something for every kind of film lover.
For London’s music community, the festival also offers a chance to experience the connection between music and film, from documentaries about emerging artists to music videos showcasing local and Canadian talent.
Check out these screenings that celebrate the region's music scene:
THUNDER QUEENS | Saturday, October 17
From Executive Producers Tegan and Sara, Thunder Queens is a coming-of-age rock documentary about three Canadian teenage girls finding themselves through their band, and the artistic communities that have held them close.
The film follows Violet, Lola, and Clara through their relentless dedication over several years of rehearsals, live shows, and backstage jitters. Woven throughout is a rich inter-generational conversation between the band, Tegan & Sara, Jordan Miller (The Beaches), Leah Fay Goldstein (July Talk), Jasmyn Burke (Jasmyn, Weaves) and more, reflecting on girlhood, live performance, mentorship, and the realities of building a life in the music industry.
And there’s more: the band will join us for an exclusive In Conversation With following the screening, and an official After-Party with live music at Century Building (192 Dundas St.)
MUSIC VIDEO NIGHT | Friday, October 23
Music videos are an art form all their own, and this special Forest City Film Festival program celebrates the creativity happening at the intersection of music and film connected to Southwestern Ontario.
Featuring music videos from a range of genres and artists, including Danusia’s Fox – “Floured Towel,” Big Lou – “Lewis Hamilton,” Jason McLean – “Move,” and more.
