The first collaborative project amongst all Canadian UNESCO Creative Cities is coming to London this June! Celestia by Kleis Inc. is an art experience like no other. The installation is in London June 26-July 22 at Jubilee Square (Canada Life Place, Talbot & King St.). We're kicking things off on June 26 at 10:30 am with a live performance to welcome this art experience into Canada's UNESCO City of Music!
About the Installation:
The installation is composed of a collection of seven colorful modules made of steel and 100% recycled polystyrene. These modules come to life with sound and light as spectators approach and interact with them. Inspired by the Seven Sisters of the Greek myth of the Pleiades, each module is unique in its color, emotion and character.
Celestia is the fruit of an enriching artistic collaboration between Quebec author and poet Carolanne Foucher, sound designer Jérôme Guilleaume, Huron-Wendat storyteller and writer Yolande Okia Picard, and Kleis shop. Together, they have created a unique artistic experience, where each module offers a unique ambiance, and where music, poetry and light respond to each other, immersing spectators in a dreamlike, contemplative atmosphere.
