Magenta is an artist based in London, Ontario, who writes relatable lyrics on smooth and emotive melodies. She treats writing as an emotional outlet as she lays all her feelings out, without filters, pulling from her own experiences and the experiences of others. Magenta aims to create music that is relatable and allows people to feel heard as she writes on a wide range of topics from loss and pain to self-discovery. She draws inspiration from artists like Jeremy Zucker and Gracie Abrams who influence her indie/folk/pop sound. Her debut single “finding myself”, released in July 2021, has gained over 15 000 streams and it’s honest lyrics and intimate sound has connected with her growing audience.
